Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to oversee the administration, monitoring, and maintenance of our enterprise network environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Network and Software Systems Maintenance:
Configure, update, and maintain network hardware and end-user hardware not managed by the Help Desk. Perform semi-annual inventory checks on server software and hardware. Serve as an escalation point for the Help Desk and support tickets. Diagram the entire network, including IP address spaces and networking gear.
Security:
Act as the subject matter expert for monthly vulnerability scanning and report emerging threats. Fine-tune and audit security and monitoring systems. Coordinate monthly security meetings to address vulnerabilities and follow up on remediation. Manage the configuration and maintenance of applications in office, datacenter, and cloud-hosted environments.
Policy and Compliance:
Recommend policies and procedures for optimal security and ease of use for end users. Ensure compliance with departmental policies and manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Project Coordination and Customer Service:
Work closely with directors, managers, and staff to ensure project efficiency. Provide quality customer service and technical support to staff and clients. Offer expertise to management on technological advancements and their application within the enterprise.
Non-Essential Functions:
Support the IT Department through communication, coordination, and backup support. This role requires flexibility to work additional hours, including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in network infrastructure management, design, and implementation. Hands-on experience with mission-critical enterprise applications and a broad knowledge of computer science and business/management.
Education:
A 4-year college degree is preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Windows computer systems, with desirable experience in Microsoft SQL, Exchange, Office 365/Azure, MS Active Directory, iManage document management, and Thomson Reuters 3E finance management systems.
