per hour (DOE), plus benefits
LOCATION:
based in San Pablo
REPORTS TO:
Director, Rape Crisis
The San Pablo office of Community Violence Solutions is the base for the Rape Crisis Center, Prevention Services, HOPE Therapy, and Sexual Assault Response Team. The Executive Director, Finance, Human Resource and Administrative offices for all CVS programs are also in San Pablo.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Reporting to the Program Director, the Case Specialist of Human Trafficking Victims is responsible for engaging at-risk adults and youth who have been identified as potential victims of human trafficking, mapping resource options including possible certification as a victim eligible for a T Visa.
SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Engage potential victims adult and youth.
- Ability to learn and promote the T Visa certification process with victims of human trafficking as appropriate.
- Provide intensive strengthbased, solutionoriented services that may include: assessment of family needs, resources and support systems; relationship building and empowerment of the individual's community; arriving at mutually agreed upon and achievable goals; crisis intervention; and referral and coordination with community organizations including law enforcement as appropriate.
- Successfully complete Community Violence Solutions' preservice training.
- Attend trainings related to this position.
- Coordinate services and develop collaborative working relationships with multiple community based and public agencies as well as other case managers.
- Develop and maintain community and public relations contacts in order to promote referrals.
- Maintain records according to the requirements and standards of CVS and its funders.
- Maintain referral and resource materials.
- Participate in the collection of outcome data.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- High degree of sensitivity to and respect for diversity and cultural issues involved in working with clients of varying ethnicities and income.
- High tolerance and respect for individual survival strategies while promoting everincreasing healthier choices.
- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with people who may be difficult to engage.
- Comfortable in doing community based work.
- Highly motivated, willing to learn, and able to work independently at times.
- Ability and desire to work as a member of a team, with a respect for conceptual and interpersonal differences.
- Strong organization skills, including ability to manage workload and complete paperwork on time.
- Computer literate.
- Possession of a valid California Driver's License, a working vehicle and automobile insurance.
Pay:
$ $28.00 per hour
