- Reconcile client accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Perform accrual accounting tasks including the calculation and recording of month-end accruals and other adjusting entries.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Online and Xero.
- No direct communication with clients
- Provide administrative support as needed, including filing, and organizing financial records.
- Prepare and maintain fixed asset register and debt schedules.
- Assist in monthly financial close process, including preparation of financial statements.
- Handle client data and prepare financial reports.
- Attend training meetings to stay up to date on industry trends and changes.
- Analyze financial statements and make recommendations for improvement.
- Stay up to date with industry developments and changes in accounting regulations.
- Assist in ad hoc projects and assignments as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager
- Record and reconcile financial transactions, including invoices, bills, checks, sales, purchases, and expenses, in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Maintaining accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconciling bank and credit card statements
- Assist in preparing and filing tax forms, such as 1099s and local taxes returns depending on the state.
- Generating financial reports on a regular basis, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets
- Assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns
- Follow instructions and company policies to ensure consistent and accurate financial reporting.
- Attend meetings and training sessions to stay up to date on industry developments and company policies.
- Collaborate with the assistant manager and other team members to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting
- Knowledge in QuickBooks Online and Xero
- Strong data entry skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Tech savvy and good experience with the following software (Microsoft 365, , Slack, etc)
