Job Title: Budget Analyst
Job Description:
The Budget Analyst will play a critical role in supporting budget formulation and execution for the National Military Financial Services Corporation (NMFSC). The primary responsibilities include:
Budget Formulation and Execution Support:
Regular tracking of budget execution data to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Preparation of management reports to display budget execution data, providing insights and analysis.
Assisting Government budget analysts in the preparation of budget exhibits, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Providing analytical expertise to support NMFSCs decision-making capability, including forecasting and scenario analysis.
Documenting budgetary support activities in the Monthly Budget Report, and maintaining comprehensive records for audit and review purposes.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
Proven experience in budget analysis or financial management, preferably in a government or large organizational setting.
Navy experience preferred.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
Proficiency in financial software and tools, including Excel, SAP, or similar programs.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
