Harvest Safe Haven (HSH) is a 6-bed Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program for male residents ages 12-19 licensed by the Department of Social Services.

HSH is Mental Health Program approved by DHCS and nationally accredited through CARF International. HSH is located in Riverside, CA.

HSH is referred by Riverside County DPSS and San Bernardino County DCFS. Experience in working with Juvenile Delinquents is strongly required.


HSH is currently seeking to hire knowledgeable and experienced professional with group home/STRTP experience to fill the position of Administrator.


An Administrator is responsible for the overall management of agency, oversees all operations, fiscal and personnel management, in charge of community relations, directs and develops residential programs, and supports and supervises care staff in the residential program.

Administrator must have excellent documenting and writing ability.

Responsibilities_

  • Direction and evaluation of the Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program within the limits of the functions and policies established by the licensee.
  • Management of expenditures according to the facility's budget limitations.
  • Organization of the work of the facility and delegation of responsibility and disciplinary action to staff members.
  • Assessment of the facility operations and program; and reporting to the Executive Director any identified problems.
  • Recruitment, appointment, evaluation and termination of staff.
  • Development of a plan for the orientation, development and training of staff.
  • Review of complaints made by children, or their authorized representative(s) and deciding upon the action to be taken to handle the complaint.
  • Review of complaints made by staff and neighbors and deciding upon the action to be taken to handle the complaint.
  • Provide basic care and supervision to youth in care to assure that health, nutritional, educational, social, and recreational needs are met.
  • Be available oncall.
  • Be on time, stay productive, have good organizational skills, follow company policies and procedures.
  • Have knowledge of Accreditation guidelines.
  • Capable of writing a Corrective Action Plan, creating and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Capable of typing up Incident Reports and submitting them to appropriate agencies in a timely manner.
  • Medication management and ensuring medication compliance.
  • Other duties assigned by the Executive Director.

Qualifications Education/Experience _

  • Master's degree in a behavioral science from an accredited college or university, plus a minimum of one year of employment as a social worker in an agency serving children or in a group residential program for children; or
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, plus at least one year of administrative experience or supervisory experience over social work, child care, and/or support staff providing direct services to children in an agency or in a community care facility with a licensed capacity of seven or more; or
  • Have completed at least two years at an accredited college or university, plus at least two years administrative experience or supervisory experience over social work, child care, and/or support staff providing direct services to children in an agency or in a community care facility with a licensed capacity of seven or more; or
  • Have completed high school, or equivalent, plus at least three years administrative experience or supervisory experience over social work, child care, and/or support staff providing direct services to children in an agency or in a community care facility with a licensed capacity of seven or more.

Certification (mandatory)

  • STRTP Administrator Certification

Must pass live scan and background check (DOJ, FBI, Child Abuse). Must have a clean driving record.

Pay:
$ $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
