Working as a Floater Assistant /Extended Teacher at Acelero Learning will give you the opportunity to gain valuable experience and transferable skills towards a remarkable and rewarding career path.

You will work collaboratively with the Teacher to ensure the successful operation of a Head Start classroom of children following the Head Start/Early Head Start operating day.

Responsibilities:

Support the social and emotional development of children
Communication and Service Coordination
Ongoing Monitoring, Record Keeping and Reporting
Plan and implement learning experiences that advance children's intellectual and physical development.
Develop children's literacy, phonemic, print, and numeracy awareness.
Improve children's understanding and use of language, appreciation of books, and problemsolving abilities.
Establish and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.
Encourage the involvement of the families of the children in a Head Start program.

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma Required
Preschool CDA (Child Development Associates) Credentials, OR the willingness to enroll to complete within two years OR
An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in any field OR are enrolled in a program to obtain such a degree.
The commitment and passion to work with children
Proficient ability to interact effectively verbally and in writing and bais computer literacy.

Pre Hire Requirements:

Fingerprint Screening (CHRI), a Background Check (CARI), Two Reference Letters, and Physical exams with a TB Test are required for this position.
Must have a Valid Driver's License and a reliable transportation
Please note: All new hires must attend the four days (Tuesday
Friday: 9 am to 3 pm) of mandatory New Employee Orientation Training at South Amboy Center 310 Augusta Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879 upon completion of prehire documents.
