Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to serve as the Regional Manager of Affordable Housing for our organization.

The Regional Manager will be responsible for overseeing our rapidly growing Affordable Housing portfolio, our team members who work in and manage these communities and in ensuring our residents receive the highest level of customer service while maintaining our perfect track record in Affordable Housing compliance.

This role requires a deep understanding of Affordable housing policies, HAP payment processes, and a commitment to social equity.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee and manage the daytoday operations of our Affordable Housing portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, municipal, state and federal Affordable Housing regulations.
  • Stay informed about local, state, and federal housing policies and regulations. Advocate for policies that support affordable housing initiatives.
  • Oversee budgets, funding sources, and financial strategies to support affordable housing projects. Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants, subsidies, and tax credits.
  • Cultivate and maintain partnerships with government agencies, nonprofit organizations, developers, financial institutions, and other stakeholders involved in affordable housing initiatives.
  • Engage with community members, advocacy groups, and residents to understand their needs and priorities related to affordable housing. Foster inclusive decisionmaking processes and address community concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant housing regulations, including fair housing laws, zoning codes, and funding requirements. Prepare reports and documentation for regulatory agencies, funders, and organizational leadership.
  • Provide guidance and support to a team of housing professionals, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Must be present in our corporate offices and onsite, with the ability to move throughout the buildings and portfolio, ensuring effective communication with tenants, staff, vendors, and visitors.
  • Position may be required to perform duties outside their normal responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Real Estate, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Psychology or related field required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in affordable housing management and policy implementation with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Affordable housing certifications are required (i.e. LIHTC, HCCP, COS, CPO, C3P, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of affordable housing, including Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, Housing Choice Vouchers, Section 8, Section 236, 40%, 60% and 80% programs and other subsidy programs.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving high REAC scores as well as high scores in desk audits.
  • Demonstrated success in on site team management, affordable housing compliance, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusion in housing policy and practice.
  • Experience working with government agencies, community organizations, and advocacy groups.
  • Proficiency in navigating computers and property management software, to include Microsoft Office, iLuvLeasing, On-Site, and Yardi.
  • Knowledge of fair housing regulations and leasing practices.
  • Valid NYS real estate license or ability to obtain one within the first 120 days of employment. All active license holders must register their license with Rose Associates upon hire.
  • Work authorization (required).
In addition to base salary, significant incentive pay and full benefits packages are available.

Pay:
$160, $180,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
