Description
Trinitas Intensive Care Unit is a collaborative closed 25 bed capacity mixed with medical and surgical cases under 25-year-Intensivist Care Program.
We provide management of acutely ill patients with life-threatening conditions requiring complex assessment, high-intensity therapies and interventions, and continuous nursing vigilance.
Our care management consists of care bundles based on evidence-based practices that are executed with compassion and care.Our Intensive Care Nurses work with all patients and their families to create healing, humane, and caring behaviors in a safe environment while focusing also on patient advocacy.
They are supported by a clinical nurse specialist that provides education and the opportunity to learn. A graduate from an accredited school of NursingBaccalaureate or Associate Degree in Nursing
ICU experience OR at least 1 year of Med/Surg or Telemetry experience required
Required National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification within 1 year of employment
Night Shift, 7PM-7:30AM
Required to work every other weekend and holiday rotation
The Registered Nurse provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
The Registered Nurse assures safety in practice and is inclusive of the principles of evidence-based practice by maintaining a realization of their own individual level of knowledge and experience and assumes responsibility for advancing knowledge of self and others in the patient care team by communication with and utilizing resources and programs available.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors.The Registered Nurse is responsible for supervising and directing the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers.
The Registered Nurse participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.The Registered Nurse is an individual practitioner and the interdisciplinary team manager, who utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualizes the plan of care to address a specific patient s needs.
