    Description
    :

    This position will have a lot of collateral electrical engineering duties. The primary responsibilities will be on the controls design/design review. Newell is transitioning to become much more automated.

    This position will be responsible spcec'ing out the automated equipment, reviewing designs of said equipment, reviewing where/how the equipment will be implemented into the facility, programming, implementing, and troubleshooting said equipment.

    A variety of equipment from assembly/packaging equipment, vision systems, etc.

    This position will also be supporting the day to day facility support of current equipment and being electrical engineering resource to a variety of needs.

    Newell Brands Job Description:

    Design electrical control systems for automated assembly and packaging equipment per OSHA standards and NFPA '79 guidelines.

    Write programs for programmable logic controllers.

    Understand, annotate, and modify existing PLC programs while having limited supporting documentation.

    Troubleshooting robotics systems and applications

    Specify and program A/C servo systems

    Electrically evaluate safety measures on new and existing processes

    Approve electrical designs on all new equipment

    Design, setup, and program human machine interfaces, HMI's.

    Integrate new levels of automation into existing processes

    Collaborate with Engineers and Technicians to design and apply new system processes

    Drive standardization of electrical components in all manufacturing processes

    Optimize machine performance electrically to maximize overall equipment effectiveness

    Design and implement control enhancements to maximize product quality

    Assist the maintenance staff in diagnosing problems with manufacturing equipment and implementing solutions

    Train maintenance technicians to upgrade their electrical knowledge skill set

    allen-bradley, Plc programming, Omron, Electrical design, Hmi

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:

    Must Haves:

    2+ years of relevant experience; controls, controls design, automation.

    2+ years of Allen Bradley and/or Omron PLC, programmable logic controllers, & HMI, human machine interfaces, programming & troubleshooting

    Nice to Haves:

    5 + years of experience

    Ability to spec out automated equipment, design, implement, & troubleshoot

    Vision Systems & robotics experience

    Experience Level:

    Intermediate Level
