Job Description

Position Title: Sr. Systems Administrator

Position Type: Direct Hire - TS/SCI w/ FSP

Position Location: Tysons Corner, VA

Responsibilities:

Provide system administration expertise for a specialized user environment, managing Windows workstations, servers, Linux servers, file shares, and hypervisors.
Offer guidance and support for infrastructure and information security needs, including accreditation activities.
Collaborate with program management, engineers, and team members to ensure smooth operations.
Implement system administration best practices to ensure task efficiency and effectiveness.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal technical professionals and customer representatives.

Skills:

Experience in administering Windows AD centric environments, including Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
Understanding of basic networking principles.
Experience supporting end users with workstation issues.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and support software development teams.
Commitment to adopting and adhering to documented best practices.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Effective planning, prioritization, and clear communication of technical options and trade-offs.

Preferred Skills:

15+ years of system administration experience.
Working knowledge of Linux.
Experience with cloud, Nutanix, and/or infrastructure automation.
Proficiency in writing technical documentation.
