Responsibilities


The Armstrong Early Learning Center of Whitley County Family YMCA is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate part-time Infant Assistant Teacher to join our team.

Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Infant Assistant Teacher will be responsible for a YMCA preschool program that provides diverse participants with age-appropriate activities to promote a safe, fun, nurturing learning environment and memorable experiences with the YMCA.

Care:Supervise assigned groups of children and engage in positive staff-child interaction.

Nurture: Actively engage with and provide quality care for program participants in order to deliver a quality childcare experience.

Connect: Have a warm, engaging, and friendly demeanor that is able to connect quickly with program participants, parents, and supervisors.

Support: Assist the supervisor as needed, maintain good communication, and participate as an active team member for the overall advancement of the association.


Requirements:


  • At least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Experience working in an early learning center or preschool is preferred.
  • Reliable transportation to attend work.
  • Able to fulfill all demands in spirit, mind, and body as an assistant teacher.
  • Positive, serviceoriented attitude with diverse groups of people regarding age, abilities, ethnicity, gender, race, economic status, religion, etc.

Salary:
Part-time $13.50-$14.00 hourly


Shifts Available:
Monday-Friday, 2:30 p.m. - 6 p.m.
