JOB SUMMARY:

Under general supervision of the Associate VP Recruitment and Admissions, increase enrollment of Bachelor and transfer students. Coordinates with the academic bachelor representatives and transfer evaluation team to ensure effectiveness of bachelor's admissions process. Focuses on increasing the matriculation of AA, AS and AAS students to IRSC bachelor programs. Attends community and corporate events to reach nontraditional students in our community and recruits for bachelor programs.

Working closely with the Division of Academic Affairs and Student Success to organize efforts of increasing adult populations to all programs.


SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Designs strategic plans that may include marketing efforts for collegewide recruitment efforts for adult populations. (25

  • Facilitates recruitment efforts and relationship building at all businesses large and small within south Florida. Conducts presentations and holds information sessions at corporations, nonprofits, and organizations to ensure the community and beyond is aware of IRSC bachelor offerings (
    20%)
  • Works closely with Academic Deans to grow their respective programs, including increase in of articulations with other institutions.

  • Completes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of five (5) years' work experience in admissions and recruitment in a university or college setting.
  • Knowledge of demands and needs of nontraditional student populations returning to college.
  • Demonstrated skill in the effective assessment and tracking of recruitment and admissions efforts.
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short
- and long-range enrollment goals.

  • Skill of developing processes and increase efficiency of operations.
  • Experience planning and implementing special events, both large and small scale.
  • Must be an effective public speaker with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with staff and faculty to implement successful recruitment efforts, on and off campus.
  • Ability to handle information of sensitive and confidential nature in the utmost professional manner.
  • Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Background in working with transfer student populations is highly desired.
  • Proficiency in Spanish preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


This position requires an ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time and to present oral lectures/demonstrations, walk, bend, lift, reach up, stoop, and carry items occasionally in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds.

Some lifting of computer and electronic equipment may be required.

It also requires manual dexterity to operate standard office machines, such as, copier, fax, calculator, telephone, and other equipment as necessary.
