IT Security Engineer

Location:
Sterling, VA or Phoenix, AZ (USA)

Position Summary:

As an IT Security Engineer at Dedrone, you will play a pivotal role in helping to secure our information program, ensuring the security and protection of our environment and data.

You will work collaboratively with IT team members, software developers, and other departments to provide strategic guidance, technical expertise, and ensure the security of our systems.

Responsibilities:
Working with the IT, Compliance, and Development teams to ensure the security of Dedrone systems.

Collaborate on the day-to-day security of our AWS environment, including implementing new features and contributing to the security aspects of the design and engineering of the overall environment.

Acting as the technical security partner for audits, including ISO, FedRAMP, SOC2, etc.
Collaborate with IT colleagues on strategic and tactical initiatives aimed at enhancing technology and security within the IT environment.
Act as day-to-day lead on security monitoring and reporting.

Key Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in AWS security
Demonstrated ability in network security with a strong understanding of LAN/WAN principles.
Expertise in LAN/WAN network security, particularly firewalls and VPN.
Proven ability to work independently, with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in English, allowing for clear articulation of ideas and opinions.

Preferred, but Not Mandatory:
Previous experience in software development, programming, and code development.
Familiarity with machine learning concepts and practices.
Familiarity with IT frameworks, especially ISO and SOC.
