Overview:

The Windmill Club is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medical Technician to join our team.

As the Camp Emergency Medical Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing emergency medical care to Campers in various settings.

This is a THREE WEEK camp running from June 3 to June 21. Camp runs Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 1:30. We have a maximum of 75 children per week in camp.


Duties:

• Respond to emergency calls to provide efficient and immediate care to the critically ill and injured
• Care for children and log injuries as per DOH guidlines
• Perform physical examinations and monitor vital signs
• Conduct basic life support procedures
• Assist in critical care situations
• Manage airways and assist with breathing difficulties

Skills:

• Experience working in a camp setting or with children
• Ability to perform physical examinations accurately
• Skilled in basic life support techniques
• Knowledge of critical care procedures and protocols
• Strong patient care skills with compassion and empathy
• Competence in airway management procedures
• Familiarity with medical terminology commonly used in emergency medicine

Requirements:

• Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) (New York State)
• Completion of EMT training program
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
