General Duties
In addition to teaching responsibilities, general duties include holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, preparing course materials (e.g., syllabus), maintaining a course website, and using a learning management system( e.g.
bCourses at UC Berkeley, Canvas, etc.).Qualifications:
Additional qualifications (required at time of start)
Lecturer Courses:
A Ph.
D or M.D. degree (or equivalent international degree) is required to teach a lecture course by the time of hire.
Preferred qualifications

Lecture Courses:
Documented experience in teaching one of the biological or life sciences at the college level.
Laboratory Courses:
Completion of all Ph.
D (or equivalent international degree) requirements except dissertation in a biological field or life sciences.
