• Perform electrocardiogram (EKG) tests on patients
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions
• Attach electrodes to the patient's chest, arms, and legs to record the electrical activity of the heart
• Monitor the patient's vital signs during the procedure
• Operate EKG equipment and adjust settings as necessary to obtain accurate readings
• Recognize and troubleshoot any technical issues with the equipment
• Document and maintain accurate records of test results and patient information
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care

• Certification as an EKG Technician or completion of an accredited EKG Technician training program
• Strong knowledge of sonography, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
• Familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures and diagnostic evaluation techniques
• Proficient in performing vital sign measurements and using aseptic techniques
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret test results
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fastpaced environment
