Description
'''Duties''':- Perform electrocardiogram (EKG) tests on patients
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions
- Attach electrodes to the patient's chest, arms, and legs to record the electrical activity of the heart
- Monitor the patient's vital signs during the procedure
- Operate EKG equipment and adjust settings as necessary to obtain accurate readings
- Recognize and troubleshoot any technical issues with the equipment
- Document and maintain accurate records of test results and patient information
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Certification as an EKG Technician or completion of an accredited EKG Technician training program
- Strong knowledge of sonography, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures and diagnostic evaluation techniques
- Proficient in performing vital sign measurements and using aseptic techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret test results
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fastpaced environment
