DESCRIPTION

  • Morgan Stanley's Wealth Management Investment Solutions (IS) Assistant will interface regularly with individuals at all levels across Morgan Stanley and outside the firm. She/he must have an excellent customer service orientation and the ability to manage a fastpaced work environment and juggle multiple, simultaneous projects. This is an onsite role.
  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing the daily schedule and longterm calendar for a group of IS Managing Directors
  • Submitting expense reports and handling travel arrangements (booking flights, hotels and ground transportation; collecting all relevant details and preparing trip itineraries; communicating with trip organizers) for IS Managing Directors and other members of the group.
  • Answering phone inquiries, planning, organizing, and implementing events such as team meetings and retreats, this may involve coordination with other groups within Wealth Management
  • Performing other ad hoc administrative responsibilities and taking on special projects as assigned by the Managing Directors
  • General office responsibilities which may include planning events in the Purchase location and helping to manage temporary office space for visitors.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • A detailoriented selfstarter with at least four years of prior experience in a large corporation or financial services firm
  • Excellent computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), Concur and Salesforce and ability to manage multiple calendars
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Excellent organization and timemanagement skills
  • Someone who exhibits sound judgement with the ability to prioritize and make decisions
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
  • Comfortable interacting with highlevel executives
  • A teamplayer capable of cultivating productive working relationships across the firm
  • Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 $95,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and longterm incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
