    School Registered Nurse (RN)

    Location: Darragh, PA

    Description: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our school munity in Darragh, PA. The School RN will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of students and staff, providing direct care, health education, and support for students with medical needs. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to ensuring a safe and healthy school environment for all.

    Educational Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
    • Valid Pennsylvania state license as a Registered Nurse (RN)

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct nursing care and first aid to students and staff members as needed
    • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and school policies
    • Monitor and manage students with chronic health conditions, such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies
    • Conduct health screenings and assessments to identify health concerns and promote early intervention
    • Develop and implement individualized health care plans for students with special medical needs
    • Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and parents to promote a healthy school environment and address health-related concerns
    • Provide health education and promote preventive health measures to students, staff, and families
    • Maintain accurate and confidential health records in pliance with state regulations and school policies
    • Participate in school safety and emergency preparedness activities, including crisis response and disaster drills
    • Stay informed about current best practices and guidelines in school nursing and health promotion

    Certifications:

    • Valid Pennsylvania state license as a Registered Nurse (RN)
    • CPR/AED certification
    • Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
    • Additional certifications or training in areas such as school nursing, pediatric nursing, or public health are a plus
