- Placement and progression are based on full years of professional nursing experience as established by the nurse license granting date (i.e., DSPS licensure date).
- Employees who work between the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. will receive a night differential of $1.40 per hour worked.
- Employees who are permanently assigned to night shift between the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. will receive an additional $2.50 per hour worked (in addition to the $1.40 per hour mentioned directly above).
- Employees will receive a weekend differential of $0.80 per hour for all weekend work hours (i.e., work hours on Saturday and Sunday).

The DPI Wisconsin School for the Deaf (WSD) in the Division of Learning Support is currently seeking applicants for a Nurse Clinician 2 (Registered Nurse) positions (.58 FTE). The WSD is a residential school that has the responsibility of providing a variety of educational services to children who are deaf, hard-of-hearing, and deafblind, their families, and the local education agencies (LEAs) and programs that serve them.
The Nurse Clinician 2 provides nursing care to students with unique challenges and enables students to manage their health care needs independently. Position Summary

Salary Information
These positions are in classification Nurse Clinician 2. Depending on full years of Registered Nurse licensure, t he salary will be between $ $47.21 per hour ($49,209 - $56,954 per year for the .58 FTE position or $59,390 - $68,737 per year for the .70 FTE position). For current and eligible former State employees, compensation will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan effective at time of hire. See chart below to determine expected base hourly rate. Night/weekend differentials are available.

Job Details
A TB screen will be required prior to start.
Two positions are available. We have a .58 Full-Time Equivalency (FTE) position that is a second shift position. The approximate schedule for the .58 FTE position will be one of the following:
Monday and Tuesday: 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. (or 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.)
Friday: 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
OR
Wednesday and Thursday: 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. (or 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.)
Sunday: 6:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. Monday
The .70 FTE (over-night) position will alternate between working two night shifts one week (24 hours) and three night shifts the next week (36 hours). The night shifts are 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. and will occur between Sunday through Thursday.
These schedules offer consistency and some flexibility, as the exact schedules will be determined with the selected candidates. However, a pplicants must be flexible in temporarily changing hours and schedules on short notice to cover staffing shortages. Employees can expect to have holidays and most weekends off.
An American Sign Language Proficiency Interview (ASLPI) level rating of 0+ upon hire and a rating level of 1+ at the end of probation is required.
The position is headquartered at 309 W. Walworth in Delavan, WI. Reimbursement for traveling to or from the employee's headquarters is not provided (e.g., mileage, meals, parking, lodging, etc.).
