- Expedite shortages through purchasing, weld, and fabrication
- Correct Bill of Materials (BOM) through the BOM query system
- Exercise skills in location management
- Gather components and parts needed for different stages of assembly (kitting)
- Process and reconcile inventory
- Possess the ability to read work orders/dispatch reports and follow oral instruction
- Determine root cause for shortages
- Assemble shop paper including build book & work order batching
- Responsible for Change Order (PCO) distribution
- Follow up on any issues
- Raise potential issues to the appropriate level for disposition
- Create and process shop orders
- Determine the root cause and corrective action for daily obstacles
- Possess a working knowledge of Kanban
- Perform data maintenance
- Perform cycle counts

Summary of Job Description
The position, Parts Department Planner 2, is responsible for the organization and control of the flow of materials through the manufacturing process, determining the root cause for shortages, and reconciling inventory. This position is also responsible for expediting shortages and creating, updating, and maintaining shop paper. Maintaining data within the JD Edwards system and scheduling operations within the facility is also required in this position.

Work Environment
