Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join our nutraceuticals business at our Totowa, NJ facility. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the manufacturing function. This position will report to a process Engineer.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING.

  • Train Operators in Blending, Milling, Extrusion, Extraction, and Spray Drying.
  • Train Operators in all aspects of safety and GMP's
  • Make sure Products are manufactured/Packaged as required by the specifications and batch record
  • Maintain all applicable records for production/sanitation programs
  • Procurement of parts and materials (sanitation, chemicals, janitorial supplies, PPE's, and Packaging materials.) needed in the production department.
  • Maintain/Monitor inventory levels.
  • Work closely with Maintenance Department making sure equipment is in operating conditions
  • Close monitor pest control programs.
  • Closely monitor cleaning agents and equipment and ensure proper and adequate use.
  • Work along with EHS team and ensure all personnel follows safety regulations.
  • Assist in investigations and corrective actions as necessary.
  • Coordinate monitoring samples for RO water system
  • Understand and perform all quality and food safety responsibilities in compliance with Ashland and FSSC22000 requirements.
  • Maintain and review preventative maintenance program.
IN ORDER TO BE QUALIFIED FOR THIS ROLE, YOU MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:

  • High school diploma
  • Undergraduate/science related
  • 510 Years of supervision Experience
THE FOLLOWING SKILL SETS ARE PREFERRED BY THE BUSINESS UNIT:

  • Bilingual in Spanish Preferred
  • Excellent oral and writing skills
