This position may have access to third party credit card information and transactional systems (cash registers, point ofsale devices, applications supporting credit card transactions, and reports or other documents containing credit card information) from multiple transactions or reports and/or files containing bulktransactional information containing unencrypted or un-redacted credit card information.
Essentials Duties and Responsibilities:Demonstrate a solid understanding of your role as an Accounts Receivable Representative II. *Read & interpret invoice details *Patient registration in IDX *Rejection posting in IDX *Knowledge of medical records systems *Ability to navigate Insurance payer web sites *Read & interpret EOB's from various insurance carriers *FSC knowledge *Rules of FSC Flipping *Rules of Charge Corrections.*Understanding of claim edits.Resolve claim editsAbility to manage multiple expectations, tasks and deadlines effectively.
Timely review of electronic communication to stay informed of changes that affect your position.
Research and analyze account thoroughly to determine appropriate action(s) to be taken.
Proactively organize and manage case load to ensure follow through on claims that did not reach resolution at time of initial processing.
Being assertive in all collection efforts when information received is conflicting or not understood.Ability to accurately interpret information received from your assigned payor and document in a manor that is clear to others.
Ability to independently research and resolve intermediate to complex issues with available resources and tools.Ability to identify trends and proactively seek resolution.
Utilizes appropriate chain of command to assist in resolving complex issues after necessary research has been completed.
Qualifications Requirement:High School Diploma3 years' experience working in Healthcare Rev Cycle or a Professional Medical Office.
AA/AS degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred/desired.5 years' experience working in healthcare Rev Cycle or a Professional Medical Office preferred/desired .1 year experience with IDX Practice management system and Cerner EHR.Knowledge of physician billing regulations.
Understanding of professional claims and billing proceduresKnowledge of Federal and State regulations applicable to Government and Insurance Collections.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge of computers and demonstrated proficiency in using e-mail systems, Internet and office/google software applications.
Education: High School
Certification: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
