The HUCLA replacement is a $1.7B multi year program. APSI is one of the three JV partner and is also controlling entity in JV. The program consist of various small, medium and large projects.

The current HUCLA medical center hospital is not compliant with the state mandate seismic code, and therefore a need for replacement new hospital.

In addition, there will be outpatient, support building, parking structure/surface lots, central utility plant, 12KV/66KV substation and utility corridor projects.

The scoping documents are complete and initial demolition/ move management has already started and the major D/B procurement is underway.

The entire program is scheduled to finish fall 2027.


Daily Responsibilities:

Overall responsible for quality assurance of cost control services.

Program costs such as budgets, actual, estimate to complete update, revisions, and run regular cash flow and tracking reports utilizing cost module of PMIS (eBuilder).

Oversee cost control staff at the program, mentor/assist for review monthly actual invoices, processing and coordinate with County Fiscal for processing.

Process incoming contract request and approval in eBuilder. Prepare, monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc cost tracking reports. Take duties of "Project Cost Controls " at times when he/she is off or needs additional support.


Required Qualifications (Experience, Education, Certifications, Clearances, etc.)
:


  • 10+ years cost control experience with 5+ years in managing a team of cost professionals.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and reporting the cost components of largescale, complex projects; including developing and managing a progress reporting methodology for a complicated design effort.
  • Experience with Design-Build and Construction Management at Risk delivery methods.
  • Demonstrated experience with financial statements
  • Demonstrate proficiency with tracking various types of funding sources.
  • Demonstrate experience with forecasting of Cost dollars.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with a largescale cost reporting system.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand technical and complicated construction program and the ability to communicate progress to both technical
- and management-level personnel.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Previous work experience working as senior cost controller on a hospital or medical project.
  • Knowledge of online PMIS such as eBuilder, Procore, Unifier.
