Job Description:

• Perform installations and repair of Broadband and Voice (Copper & Fiber) services for residential and business customers.
• Install new service equipment for customers: including drop wires, station protectors and network interface devices. Wire new systems using appropriate tools.
• Wire Copper and Fiber lines on distribution frames as required for new/changing services. Program and maintain different computer systems to deliver our services.
• Maintain and repair existing plant and equipment by using test sets to locate line trouble and determine necessary repairs.
• Complete all repairs/installationrelated forms, reports and records.
• Learn to troubleshoot issues for internet modems, computers and service questions using appropriate internal programs. Test and maintain WiFi networks at customer locations.
• Attend and participate in job safety and other training programs.
• Building, garage, and vehicle maintenance.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to work at varying heights. Bucket truck, ladder and manual climb of poles is necessary.
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions yearround.
• Must have and maintain a valid NYS Driver's license and ability to obtain a CDL, current CDL licensed preferred.
• Must be able to work On-Call Weekly and Holiday rotations after training. Usually every 3 weeks.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and have the ability to distinguish similar colors is a must.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail is a must.
• Ability to learn and retain knowledge, work independently and make sound technical decisions using information at hand.
• Basic knowledge related to computers, electronics and tools.
• Basic knowledge of Excel (Optional: training will be provided if needed)
• Basic maintenance abilities cleaning, yard work, snow removal.
• Selfstarter, reliable, and able to work alone or with others.

Pay:
$ $40.00 per hour
