    Mission/Objective

    To lead and develop strategies to seek high efficiency and profitability on the assembly production lines to increase safety, quality and productivity through the continuous improvement and innovation of equipment, processes, and procedures in the coordination of efforts among all areas and the systematic use of the Metalsa Operation System (MOS).



    Function/Accountability

    Lead competitiveness, capacity increase A3s and strategies to reach MPC (ideal cost) and reduce cost.

    Monitor and improve operating efficiency to develop cost-efficient processes considering 4M.

    Lead the definition of standard performance and the development of strategies toward achieving the operational benchmark KPIs.

    Lead Monozokuri / Yamazumi projects.

    Perform machine cycle time kaizen and verify that cycle times include Built-in Quality.

    Manage Process and manpower capacity analysis

    Manage the Material Information Flow Chart (Actual, target, and ideal)

    Manage Layout and process flow (Actual, target, and ideal)

    Support in the Just In Time and Kanban Design

    Support for escalated issues from the shop floor

    Lead new Process Design on tools and machines to improve

    Coordinate the implementation of new operational projects and changes to current processes within time, quality, and cost standards (budget control).


    Implementation of new process technologies and best practices in the industry (benchmark).

    Serve as project manager for various productivity improvement projects and customer engineering changes

    Assist product management group in processing, quoting, implementing, launching, and maintaining engineering changes

    Lead meetings to establish priorities and coordinate activities with other cross-functional teams to comply with objectives and the customers' requirements.


    Maintain and improve manufacturing processes and error-proofing systems

    Assist in performing Run @ Rates for customer engineering changes

    Elaborate development plans for direct reports.

    Increase the level of technical knowledge of the core business process, promoting key talent development.

    Manage process control, documentation of PFMEAs, work instructions, and area assets

    Support 4.0 industry initiatives

    Develop, justify and control the budget for its area of control.

    Additional responsibilities as required - this position is subject to change as the needs of the department change

    SAFETY/HOUSEKEEPING

    Support the implementation of Environmental, Health, and Safety Practices and initiatives defined in the Environmental, Health, and Safety Strategy.

    Attend EHS training agreed to or indicated by Upper Management or Training Department.

    Ensure the notifications about new products, processes, equipment, and chemicals to Industrial Safety before their use to register them in the Quality System.


    Observe the application of the EHS Rules Regulation whenever a rule or EHS procedure is violated.

    Identify and analyze risks are corrected according to the defined JSA's action plan.

    Be proactively involved in improving working conditions.

    Support the appearance of a World-Class Facility

    Actively support full implementation of the 5S's, using it to approach and keep all areas clean, neat, and properly maintained.



    QUALITY
    Knowledge of TS 16949 / IATF

    Ensure PFMEA management reduces risks while continuously verifying its implementation.

    Assist the Quality department with resolving process-related quality defects relating to production

    Lead area in achieving plant quality objectives/goals

    Understand customer needs and work towards meeting and exceeding them

    Assist quality in customer corrective actions

    Assure of the usage of the PCR process.

    CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT/ TRAINING

    Promote and support the Metalsa Culture in the team, communicating key values and expected behaviors, and making each team member accountable for being a role model of the desired Metalsa Culture.


    Continuously improve the manufacturing process to achieve plant objectives

    Initiate, plan, design, validate, document, communicate and train improvements to the current process to ensure productivity, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction


    Academic

    Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering

    Engineering, Automation Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline


    Experience

    Preferred hands-on experience in project management and industrial engineering involving the coordination of cross-functional teams.

    Monozokuri implementation - workload balance

    Assembly line design and implementation.

    Desired but not required 1-2 years of experience in frame assembly-related processes.

    Preferred Project management experience

    1-2 Years of Leadership Experience


    Technical Skills

    Proficient computer skills/Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

    Proficient with Autocad or any CAD

    Interpret blueprints, material specifications, and other customer requirements

    Proficiency in Lean systems

    Core Manufacturing Processes (Stamping, Assembly, Painting, Welding, Hydroforming)
