The Nuts and Bolts:


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Everyday Tasks:_

Personnel Management

  • Supervision of warehouse staff
  • 4 Full time/15 seasonal staff
  • Efficiently organize and oversee storage of goods to optimize space and accessibility.
  • Manage and maintain cleanliness standards within the warehouse.
  • Responsible for editing all employee timecards in Paycom
  • Coordinate seasonal staff for the logistics team, ensuring adequate coverage during peak periods.
  • Maintain consistent and excellent communication with employees
  • Establish work ethic expectations
  • Utilize ERP system to manage jobs by location, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in inventory management and order fulfillment.
  • Meet regularly with employees and seek their feedback
  • Mediate personnel issues communicate problems to Human Resources and Senior Management
  • Support for Utility department, facilities department, shipping/receiving, and production department

Job Specific Duties

  • Oversee responsibilities including décor handling, tool preparation, staging, loading, unloading, deliveries, inventory, production, and garbage/recycling removal.
  • Work in conjunction with Production department to ensure timely refurbishment and production of all NY based jobs.
  • Maintain job storage locations in our warehouse and update software program.
  • Manage proper distribution / delivery of product.
  • Uphold and enforce packaging standards for all items
  • Manage distribution of equipment and hardware so that the proper equipment is maintained and available when needed.
  • Plan loading/unloading and oversee preparation of trucks and tools for Installation and Takedown.
  • Ensure proper rigging, bolting, electrical, requirements are maintained in all products leaving our facility.
  • Create and maintain packaging specification worksheets.
  • Make recommendations of improvements, eliminations, and changes.
  • Assist in Management of annual Inventory
  • Oversee building management along with Facilities Department.
  • Assist in producing unique projects

Season Responsibilities:
_

  • Ensure all elements for each order are complete, staged appropriately and loaded during installation and takedown season.
  • Assist in management the fleet of seasonal vehicles
  • Supervise loading/ unloading and oversee preparation of trucks and tools for Installation and Takedown.
  • Creates Truck pack document daily
  • Sends truck pack information to the inhouse team
  • Manages truck parking at the parking lot
  • Oversees the overnight warehouse operation
  • Define distinct teams for loading, pulling, packing, and production assistance.

Who you are:


  • You have warehouse experience and are comfortable working in a team driven environment
  • You are comfortable working within a software system and with Microsoft Office including Excel
  • You are organized and can keep detailed notes
  • You're Selfmotivated, proactive and innovative in style. This role requires someone who can hit the ground running with little direction. Especially during our "In-Season" time.

Requirements:


  • Sound Judgment and Ethics
  • Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
  • 5+ Years in a similar role
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook
  • Excellent Time Management Skills
  • Proven ability to remain proactive and ahead of schedule
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent ability to train and onboard new hires
  • Maintain preparedness to deal with the unexpected by planning ahead
  • Actively participate in your own personal and professional development within the company

Physical Requirements


The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds.
