Job Summary:

This position is classified as full-time, Non-Exempt Typical days and hours of work are Monday to Friday, (5:30am to 4:30pm).

This position regularly requires long hours and occasional weekend work.

As the Maintenance Technician you will assist the Maintenance Mechanic in the repair of production equipment, facilities, and environmental related issues.

You will work to minimize unplanned downtime, improve production quality, increase equipment efficiency, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

Implement & maintain the facilities preventative maintenance program
Conduct scheduled inspections of production equipment (forge, grind, saws), forklifts, fluid levels, water flows, air flows, filters, environmental compliance, and similar items; notify supervisor of issues as needed
Assist in equipment performance testing per manufacturer's guidelines
Perform corrective actions required for outofspecification conditions as directed by supervisor
Assist in analytical troubleshooting of issues to maintain forging equipment & facilities
Accurately record and document all completed maintenance, modifications, disposals, and repairs
Maintain shop copies of manuals and blueprints in a neat and organized manner; provide others with updated information as required
Make suggestions for changes that will help the plant achieve improved efficiency, quality, and safety
Assist in maintaining the inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts

Required Education & Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum one to two years' work experience in Shop Maintenance

Required Skills/Abilities:

Must be able proficient in reading and understanding instructions in English
Must be able to closely follow instructions and read documents.
Must be able to communicate, verbally and written, with managers and coworkers.
Must maintain quality practices and safety standards.
Must be able and willing to be forklift operations and safety certified.
Must be able to work overtime as required.

Physical Demands

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance.
Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
