- Inspect buildings to ensure conformity with approved plans and building codes.
- Review plans and issue notices of code violations.
- Research files and maintain databases.
- Provide excellent customer service in answering questions related to building issues and codes.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Four years of experience in Building construction trade or related field.
- BA degree in relevant field may substitute for experience.
- Must obtain a provisional license as a Standard Inspector within 120 days.
- Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum three years of experience in plans reviews and/or inspections.
- Must have a Standard Inspector License in the building trade AND additional certifications.
- Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License.
- State of Florida Standard License issued by DBPR as an inspector for Building.
- Multiple licensures issued by DBPR in various trades.
- Starting Pay Range: $ $29.00 based on experience
