The
Richmond Behavioral Health Authority is looking for a dynamic and organized
Office Associate III to join our
PACT Team.
This position will perform difficult administrative support work answering telephones and greeting visitors, assisting clients, providing general information, typing documents, entering billing data, preparing and maintaining files, records and reports, and related work as apparent or assigned.
Work is performed under the limited supervision of the assigned supervisorEssential Functions
Acts as receptionist; greets visitors; answers telephone; provides information; forwards calls to appropriate party; assists the public with the completion of standardized records or documents; directs visitors to appropriate party.
Types general correspondence, memorandum, reports, schedules, statistical tables, reports, case records and other materials from rough draft, copy, marginal notes or verbal instruction; checks items for clerical accuracy and completeness; processes clerical work requests.
Assists, supports and provides safety precautions to clients; transports clients to appointments.
Responds to requests for information on agency services; assists with complaint resolution and provides feedback to coordinators.
Schedules client appointments; maintains office schedule.
Collects and distributes payroll; tracks and submits credit card purchase logs to Finance department; reviews purchase authorizations and submits to accounting for payment; verifies and processes invoices and submits for payment.
Sorts, indexes and files material alphabetically, numerically, geographically or by other predetermined classification; reviews files for completeness.
Receives, sorts, processes and distributes incoming and outgoing mail, overnight packages and other materials.
Operates a variety of standard office equipment; performs light maintenance on photocopy and postage equipment.
Orders and maintains inventory of supplies.
Attends staff meetings as required.
Performs special projects as requested.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Thorough knowledge of proper business English and spelling; ability to answer inquiries and assist the general public in a courteous manner; ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; ability to quickly and accurately operate personal computer and word processing software; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, medical personnel, clients and the general public.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED with coursework in business administration, or related field and considerable experience providing administrative support in a healthcare setting including customer service experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

From $20.33 per hour
