Today, the Fortress Credit team consists of over 525 professionals and is focused on investing globally, primarily in undervalued assets and distressed and illiquid credit investments.

The investment team has a long and established track record investing throughout a number of credit and distressed cycles around the world.

With over 130 professionals dedicated to asset management in 11 office locations worldwide, the Fortress Credit team also has the experience and expertise to manage and service assets with operational complexity.


About The Position

Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this role is ensuring that the collateralized debt obligation ("CDOs") maintain compliance with the indenture at all times


This includes:

  • Working with our Trustee to produce compliance reports to our note holders
  • Running hypothetical trade analysis for the CDO compliance tests to ensure posttrade compliance
  • Working with our third party compliance provider to maintain a working compliance model that properly reflects the terms of the indenture
  • Work on new CDOs deals, have interaction with our deal teams on the new deals potentially going into the CDOs and have constant dialogue with asset managers on existing trades that are within the CDO portfolios.
  • Analyze monthly/quarterly waterfalls
  • Become the expert on the terms of the indenture of each CDO
  • Handle requests and queries from internal parties (accountants, operations, management) and external parties (banking counterparties, Trustees, compliance administrator)
  • Respond and prepare ad hoc reporting requests
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Strong analytical, communication and quantitative skills.
  • Prior knowledge of CDOs to learn and participate in the full life cycle of these transactions.

Qualifications

  • A college degree and coupled with at least 2 years of financial services experience
  • CDO product knowledge with preferred experience in:
  • CDO modeling
  • CDO compliance software: CDO Suite, Wall Street Office Compliance or other compliance modules
  • Wall Street Office
  • Bright, quick learner, motivated
  • Selfconfidence and ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Willing to "roll up sleeves"
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Positive initiative with ability to drive projects forward
  • Presence and poise to work with senior management on a regular basis
  • Flexibility to balance multiple requests / inquiries from across the organization
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, challenging environment
  • The base salary range for this position is expected to be between $100,000 and $110,000.
  • The base salary range proposed for this role has been set forth to comply with local law, but salary is only one element of the total compensation for this role. The base salary range suggested above does not include compensation elements such as bonuses, overtime and deferred cash (each of which are applicable in certain roles), benefits, perquisites, and company contributions to employee 401(k) accounts. Such other pay components often result in total compensation materially exceeding base salary for a particular role. Total compensation as well as base salary for a role depend in part upon individual performance, years of service, experience, geographic considerations, the performance and the needs of particular business units, company performance, and general market conditions.
