    The Arc Oneida-Lewis Chapter is seeking to fill a new role In this position you will assist in the planning, directing and coordinating of all activities within the Residential Division. You will ensure that the established goals and objectives of the agency and the division are accomplished. You will need to recommend and assist in the formulation of the Divisions Goals and Objectives and serve as an integral member of the Residential Management Team for the Arc Oneida-Lewis Chapter

    Responsibilities:

    • Completes all job evaluations for employees under Assistant Director.
    • Responsible for providing support and guidance to the supervisors on-call.
    • Monitors and oversees the purchasing of equipment and supplies; recommends necessary purchases to the Deputy Director assures that necessary resources are available to direct support staff.
    • Provides Deputy Director with all necessary reports and documentation on a timely basis.
    • Assures that the Deputy Director or Director is apprised of all significant occurrences within the Division per agency and OPWDD guidelines.
    • Performs all necessary tasks and duties as determined by the discrete areas of specialization within the Assistant Director Position (i.e. IRA Development, Staff Development, Residential Habilitation, etc.)
    • Reviews all fire drills reports for the houses they oversee and make any recommendations for training, retesting, and updates that may be needed for the evacuation plan.
    • Attends all required in-service trainings and maintains all training on the Learning Management System.
    • Participates in the on-call system on a rotational schedule, acting as an administrator in that role, during non-business hours.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in the field of Education, Psychology, Human Services or related fields, or certification which meets the QIDP guidelines with five years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities, three of which much be in a supervisory capacity. (Or)
    • Associate's Degree in a Social Service field with eight years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities, three of which are in a supervisory capacity. (Or)
    • Certified NYS Licensure in a medical or health related field with eight years' experience in the field of developmental disabilities, three of which are in a supervisory capacity.
    • Valid NYS Drivers License
    • Must be able to accommodate a secondary position in a Direct Care Capacity
