Description

At the earliest possible date, we are looking for you as *Area Manager for the Maintenance of Locomotives (m/f/d)* for DB Cargo AG at *Seddiner See location*.

*Your tasks:

You are responsible for the results of our locomotive maintenance and have a holistic view of operations, including deadlines, costs, and quality
Your production planning is the basis for budgets and investments as well as for personnel and material resources
You also ensure functioning facilities, sufficient operating resources, and efficient work preparation, including the introduction of new products
In total, about 80 employees work in our unit, with 6 supervisors reporting directly to you
Together, you ensure that everyone stays up-to-date, especially in terms of safety, regulations, and legal changes, through good training
You are the escalation level for locomotive release, determine warranty claims, and enforce them
We want to get a little better every day: You drive a continuous improvement process, identify optimization potential, and implement measures, e.g. to reduce lead times

*Your profile:

The basis of your career is a successfully completed engineering degree (such as mechanical engineering, vehicle technology, industrial engineering, or similar), alternatively you are a master craftsman or technician with several years of professional and managerial experience
You have gained professional experience in a production environment and have knowledge of entrepreneurial obligations
Leadership experience, either
