Security Specialist

Summary:
The Security Specialist will be tasked with protecting Miami-Dade County's IT assets from security threats and breaches. This role includes monitoring and assessing security vulnerabilities, implementing security measures, and developing incident response plans. They will also ensure compliance with security regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities:
Monitor and assess security vulnerabilities, and implement security measures.
Develop and update incident response plans and conduct security audits.
Ensure compliance with security regulations and best practices.
Provide training and guidance to employees on security awareness.
Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field.
Proven experience in IT security and risk management.
Knowledge of security technologies, encryption, and access control.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Security certifications such as CISSP or CISM are preferred.
