Interviews will be held between April 15-20.
Officers Equipment Company (OEC) is looking to fill a vacancy on our field sales team. We are looking for an independent, detail-oriented, merchandiser at Albany Marine Corps Base Marine Corps Exchange stores. The primary responsibility of this position is keeping MCX locations stocked with Marine Corps insignia.

We have a strong team of field sales representatives serving our military bases on site.


Part-Time Sales Representative/Merchandiser Job Summary:


Approximate work load: 2-4 hours weekly (hourly needs vary based sales/shipments, and USMC Ball season - Ball Season hours 4-8 weekly).


Pay:
$18-$20/hr


In this position you will manage stock assortments with our corporate office, stock merchandise, conduct inventories and build relationships with managers to ensure the needs of our Marine Corps base Exchange stores are met or exceeded.

This is a 1099 contract position with flexible hours.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Maintain a professional working rapport with store management.
  • Become familiar with Marine Corps insignia and assist management in determining need of new/varied items.
  • Keep sales floor stocked and maintain organized backstock; identify over/understocked items.
  • Facilitate special order items and assist customers as needed.
  • Use company provided tablet for stock assortment management.
  • Keep abreast of Iwakuni Marine Corps Base specific merchandise and update/adjust as requested by store managers and retail director, to include unique challenge coins and military plush assortment.
  • Follow base regulations at all times and retain a professional appearance and attitude.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Base access or ability to obtain legal base access
  • Strong communication, organizational and time management skills
  • Professional/volunteer experience exhibiting your ability to work independently with mínimal oversight
  • Previous vendor, retail, or customer service experience preferred but not required
  • Volunteer experience related to customer service/teamwork/training or in service of Marine Corps families, spouses, children and/or Marines considered in lieu of professional experience
  • Occasionally be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Be a team player with a positive attitude
