Position Overview


Foundation House seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Admissions Coordinator for our substance abuse and mental health treatment program.

In this role, you will coordinate the admissions process for new clients and maintain accurate records. Your role is vital in supporting the seamless operations of our treatment program at Foundation House.

Responsibilities
Admissions Coordination

  • Manage the admissions process for new clients, including conducting initial screenings and assessments, gathering the necessary documentation, coordinating with referral sources, and explaining financial obligations to clients related to insurance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all required intake forms and paperwork for Foundation House.
  • Schedule and coordinate intake appointments, assessments, and orientations for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition into the program.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to determine appropriate treatment plans based on client needs and program availability, aligning with Foundation House's treatment philosophy.
Recordkeeping and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with privacy laws and regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Enter and update client information in the electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
  • Prepare statistical reports and data summaries for admissions, treatment outcomes, and compliance indicators.
  • Assist in developing and implementing recordkeeping systems to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
Collaboration and Communication

  • Serve as a liaison between the admissions team, clinical staff, and external agencies, fostering effective communication and coordination.
  • Collaborate with billing and finance departments to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement processes.
  • Provide support and guidance to clients and their families throughout the admissions process, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally and empathetically.
  • Participate in meetings and training related to admissions and program development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, social work, healthcare administration) or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior experience in admissions coordination or a related role within a substance abuse and mental health treatment program is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing substance abuse and mental health treatment programs, including HIPAA and accreditation standards.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring compliance with documentation and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally and ethically.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and decisionmaking in complex situations.

Pay:
From $60,000.00 per year
