    Description


    Essential Functions


    • Hire and retain top performing employees.

    • Create cooperative and strong peer relationships (Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance) in order to establish and nurture strong sense of trust and credibility for procurement department internally.
    • Create and maintain an inventory management process to support operations.
    • This system should be flexible to allow the achievement of performance goals as set by Curbell Management while consistently optimizing cost (inventory levels) and supporting both on time delivery targets and customer order fulfillment
    (Example:

    Maintain stock levels achieve 97% fill rate for standard orders)

    • Provide tracking of performance and inventory values regularly.
    • An inventory cycle counting program must be part of the warehouse function and the results reported regularly so that high degree of inventory accuracy is consistently achieved (both absolute value accuracy and location accuracy).
    • Develop and execute shortterm and longterm goals for Warehouse, and Procurement departments. Develop and execute systems, budgets, processes, policies, and procedures in accordance with established domestic and international laws and Curbell's Quality and Regulatory Systems requirements.
    • Create and/or revise Curbell QMS processes and Forms as required to remain current.
    • Develop metrics to allow department performance to be measured against established short and longterm goals.
    • Insure robust supply and inventory operations to satisfy Curbell's business needs while establishing necessary contingency plans (business interruption/disaster planning).
    • This includes securing safety stock when changing vendors (effective transition planning so that obsolescence risk is minimized), developing multiple vendors for critical parts wherever is possible and cost effective, and alternate sourcing whenever instability of supply is a threat.
    • Build and maintain long term and mutually beneficial strategic vendor/partner relationships.
    • Evaluate and determine the most effective structure of the Warehouse and Procurement departments including organizational team structure and physical layout of the Warehouse as needed.
    • Develop budget and track expenses of departments. Establish lean practice and culture (especially for Warehouse) for continuous improvement and effective capacity utilization, and report warehouse performance metrics and the state of lean implementations regularly (monthly).
    • Oversee the purchasing and/or contracting for materials, supplies, equipment, and services for the operation of Curbell Medical Products Inc., in addition to all inventory items.
    • This includes supplier agreements or contracts with all tooling/support plans and costs.
    • Participate in Freight rate negotiations together with Corporate & Curbell Plastics partners to optimize our total freight bill (freightin and out) consistently.
