JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Proper Washing, Storing, Handling, and Organizing All Dishes, Glassware, Silverware, and Pots & Pans.
  • Cleaning, Organizing, and the General Up Keep of the Dish Station and Pot Washing Station. This means draining, cleaning, and refilling the Dish Machine and Pot Washing Machine twice a shift or more if busy, Keeping the dish washing station clean and organized; i.e. the dirty plates area, rinse sink, silverware soaking bucket, dirty glass rack storage shelf, the exit table of the dish machine, pot washing sink and side tables, pot & pan storage racks, all shelves, exhaust hoods, floor mats, and floor.
  • Keeping the Chemical Storage Room Clean and Organized, making sure that the chemicals are not leaking or mixing with other chemicals. The Proper storage of Kitchen Fuel, i.e. Sternos, Lamp Fuel, Candles, and Butane. Cleaning the Mop Sink, All Shelves, Proper Storage of wet mops, brooms, dust pans, caution signs, hose, buckets, Cleaning supplies, and mop bucket.
  • Proper Sweeping and Mopping of the Walk In Refrigerator Floors, Storerooms, Chefs Office, and any areas that a mess might be on the floor. Also, at the end of the night, sweep, scrub, and mop the whole kitchen. Clean floor mats 3 to 4 times a week.
  • Draining, Cleaning, and Filling of the Deep Fat Fryers when needed, usually twice a week.
  • Cleaning the Exhaust Hoods on the Hot Line and in the Back Kitchen at least once a week.
  • Helping out with putting incoming food and nonfood products away daily.
  • Doing light

Food Prep:
i.e.

peeling onions, carrots, potatoes and other vegetables; pumpernickel toast; cut vegetables and any other light food prep that is assign to them.


  • Making sure that the Pantry Line and the Hot Line have all the necessary plates, bowls, ramekins, cups, sauté pans and other dishes for service.
  • Taking out the trash & Boxes and cleaning the trash cans.
  • Helping the Chefs and Cooks whenever possible.
  • Scrub and Clean All kitchen equipment and sinks in the back kitchen. Also, keep the walls and ceilings clean. Keep floor drains and floor drain screens clean and degreased. Clean all the ovens once a week. Clean Metro Racks in walk in refrigerators once a week.
  • Count and place plates in hot box for plate ups. Also, count plates for salads and desserts for Banquets. Help banquet cooks plate up.
  • If all responsibilities are taken care of, then help out in the Pantry and learn the Pantry Menu.
  • In the summertime, sweep and mop the snack bar floor. Also, take out trash & boxes.

Pay:
$17.50 per hour


Shift:

  • Evening shift
  • Morning shift

Weekly day range:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
