General Summary of Duties:
This position is responsible for providing a full range of telephone operator duties, including triaging calls and relaying messages. Assists with clerical duties as required. Serves as a liaison between patients and medical staff in a busy Medical Oncology Practice.
Essential Functions:
- Answer incoming telephone calls
- Screen telephone calls to ensure routing to the appropriate department or individual
- Assist with appointment scheduling including cancellation and reschedule
- Ensure complete and accurate data entry
- Provide general information about Millennium Oncology e.g. directions, scope of services
- Fax orders
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
- Assist efficient flow of information between patients and medical staff
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including flexibility, priority setting, problem solving, and conflict resolutions
- Maintain highly positive attitude
- Utilize time and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year experience in a physician practice or outpatient clinic setting
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Bilingual preferred
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
