Description/Job Summary
Position Responsibilities
- Support energy planning, including the development of installation Energy and Water Plans
- Conduct energy audits and develop energy conservation measures.
- Develop energy efficiency improvements for facilities.
- Analyze energy, water, and other utility data.
- Provide energy training and support awareness initiatives.
- Conduct design reviews.
- Support the development of energy resilience projects, including the integration of onsite renewable energy, energy storage, and microgrids.
- Develop decarbonization and electrification solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emission associated with power generation and transportation.
- Support energy project implementation through ESPC, UESC, and ERCIP projects, and other energy funded projects.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- A fouryear engineering degree (preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering) and/or a registered Professional Engineer registration with a minimum of 9 years of experience in energy management.
- An Environmental Science, business or related degree with a minimum of 12 years of experience in energy management.
- A twoyear technical degree with a minimum of 15 years of experience in energy management.
- No degree with a minimum of 18 years of experience in energy management.
- Background in energy management and experience with onsite renewable energy generation, energy storage, and microgrid projects as well as alternative financing contract vehicles.
- Experience supporting the development and implementation of energy projects.
- Knowledge of Department of Defense energy management requirements a plus.
- Current Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA), or ability to obtain certification within 12 months.
- Excellent oral/written communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
- Critical thinking and decisionmaking skills coupled with strong analysis and problemsolving skills.
- Selfstarter, driven and able to work with limited direction under target timelines.
- Collaborative personality enjoys and able to work effectively, independently and in a teamoriented environment.
- Working knowledge of standard office computer software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- US Citizenship is required.
- Ability to pass a governmentadministered background investigation in order to be granted a Common Access Card and access to government IT systems.
