Position Summary:

As a PE-backed organization preparing for rapid growth, Sheer Logistics is hiring a Financial Analyst to help build the foundation of its finance function.

Budget creation, Budget v Actuals reporting, board reporting, monthly operating review, 13-week cash flow modeling, and commissions will all be core responsibilities of this role.

This role will report directly to the finance and accounting leader and have visibility to the CEO and ownership.


Essential Functions:

• Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts, operational forecast, etc.) taking into account company's growth plan
• Translate financial data into detailed presentations and easytounderstand financial reports
• Structure and manage data sets to ensure accuracy and consistency for weekly, monthly, and annual analysis
• Recommend financial tools to provide costefficient improvements in department outputs.
• Identify opportunities for performance improvement across the organization
• Utilize operations systems, Excel, Tableau, and proprietary systems to deliver fully encompassing financial and performance analysis

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CMA a plus
• 2+ years in a finance or accounting role preferred; experience will be considered in conjunction with education, Excel abilities, and financial statement understanding
• Foundational understanding of threestatement financial models required
• Experience with working a budget process preferred
• Foundational understanding of threestatement financial models required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Advanced Excel and intermediate PowerPoint required
• Tableau experience preferred
• Transportation industry and systems (McLeod, MercuryGate, etc.) experience a plus
• Experience maintaining commissions dataset and calculations a plus
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
• Highly motivated and selfdirected;
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
• Exhibits thought leadership and strong critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Organized, diligent, and efficient

Compensation:
Financial Analyst $61,000- $80,000


Work Location:
Hybrid (Sheer's Chicago office)


Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

Sedentary inside office work with limited exposure to weather conditions.
