SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES


As the Territory Sales Manager, you will be responsible for business development and direct sales of packaging equipment within an assigned geography.

The position requires creating sales opportunities through networking and cold calling, locating opportunities, scheduling meetings with potential customers, and defining project requirements to produce consistent and timely results.


Primary responsibilities under management directions:


  • To identify opportunities and arrange meetings for the introduction of products in the assigned region.
  • Develop contacts to build a sales network and find opportunities within the food market.
  • To introduce, promote, and sell equipment.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for customer contact, meetings, and presentations to optimize opportunities to develop successful and fruitful business relationships.
  • Make connections and foster relationships throughout various levels of customer organizations.
  • Identifying and understanding the structure & hierarchy of strategic corporate customers within the region
  • Collect and share customer, territory, and industry information with the team and management to identify opportunities, trends, and/or contribute to specific value proposition creation.
  • Build strong local relationships that will help facilitate presence in the region.
  • Rapidly achieve a good technical understanding of technologies.
  • Technically presenting of company's products via detailed written, spoken, and computerized presentations.
  • Analyze customer technical needs and identify the company's product portfolio.
  • Prepares and presents technical proposals of how products can meet those customer needs.
  • Presentation of proposals utilizing the company's technical descriptions, pricing, and delivery information, and assisting with contract negotiation.

Summary of Qualifications:


  • Minimum of two years' experience in Capital equipment sales.
  • Experience in packaging equipment will be an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively in a home office environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    , and Outlook.
  • Travel regionally up to 75% required.
  • Technical aptitude, particularly in mechanical, electrical, and programmable logic controls.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical sales experience.
  • Experience in technicalrelated fields and packaging industry sales is a plus.
