ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet and checkin patients upon arrival, process payments, and checkout patients.
  • Oversee the reception and waiting areas, ensuring patients receive necessary information and care in a timely manner, and that the areas are clean and organized.
  • Contact patients: to confirm next day appointments, to reschedule when an appointment is missed, to book appointment when treatment must be completed. Answer incoming calls.
  • Manage the Clinic's schedules (dentists, dental nurses, rooms, etc.) to achieve utilization and capacity goals, tracking delays, noshows, and other issues.
  • Collaborate with clinical team to effectively manage daily flow, communicating with the appropriate individuals. Promote professional teamwork through cooperation.
  • Handle all treatment paperwork, including: consent forms, information leaflets, medical questionnaires, invoices and exit paperwork, ensuring documentation is stored properly and financial data is reconciled.
  • Maintain patient records and dental filing system, adhering to regulations (HIPAA, Data Protection, etc.), confidentiality policy, and internal standards.
  • Provide secretarial support to the doctors and the practice manager, including copying, scanning, referrals, and correspondence.
  • Dispensing medicine as per dentist's prescription.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of clinic computerized scheduling/chart/billing systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly reliable, able to establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse individuals.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment with solutionoriented mindset.
  • Attentive to detail and able to work autonomously, collaborating effectively in a team environment.

Pay:
$65, $85,000.00 per year


Experience:


  • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Manhattan, NY: Relocate before starting work (required)
