    Description
    *Requirements
    • High school diploma or GED
    • 5+ years of experience on production machines
    • At least 2 years on NC or CNC equipment
    • Strong communication skills
    • Must have practical knowledge of cutting tools
    • Must be familiar with and able to use precision measuring equipment
    • Must be alert, conscientious and capable of adapting to new concepts on machining
    • Must be be capable of reading blueprints, programs, and sketches
    • Ability to work independently or self-directed
    • Ability to stand up to 8-10 hours per day
    • Ability to frequently lift up to 10 pounds and 50 pounds occasionally
    • Must be capable or setting up, modifying programs, running, and using QC gages to check the part
    *Primary Duties and Responsibilities
    • Set up and run machines manually and automatically
    • Set tooling to close tolerance, frequently to less than .001
    • Make adjustments and change tools while the machine is in cycle
    • Ability to perform all supplementary operations such as, gaging, loading and unloading, deburring, fixture loading, serializing, etc.
    • Use precision measuring equipment such as .0001 indicators, dial, electronic bore gages, Jo Blocks, inside and outside micrometers, depth mics, verniers, and other
    • Assists during prove outs, adjusting feeds, speeds, etc.
    • Perform daily, weekly, and other scheduled minor preventatives maintenance tasks
    • Maintain good housekeeping practices
    • Be alert and attentive to the machine performance and operation
    • Communicate with other shift operators, tool operators, and support personnel
