Description
Brooklyn A is looking for Staff Attorneys to join its Queens-based and Brooklyn-based Preserving Affordable Housing program. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years' experience in landlord litigation, handling non-payment, holdover, HP, 7A, and harassment proceedings in Housing Court and Supreme Court. The role involves a variety of tasks including motion practice, discovery, depositions, client communication, negotiations with opposing counsel, and advocacy with external agencies on behalf of clients.
To excel in this position, candidates must be admitted to the bar of the State of New York. A strong dedication to social justice and serving clients in low-income tenant groups, community organizations, and coalitions is essential. Successful team members will prioritize client needs and uphold values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
