Position Summary:
The Hotel Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of all public areas within the hotel, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment for guests. This role involves addressing guest requests or complaints, reporting maintenance issues, and maintaining the confidentiality and security of guest rooms. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Work Environment:
Public Areas, Guest and Service Corridors, Housekeeping Office
Job may involve working under variable temperature conditions (extreme heat or cold)
Exposure to variable noise levels
Potential exposure to fumes, odors, dust, mites, chemicals, and bio-hazards
Requirements:Key Responsibilities:
Thoroughly clean all hotel public areas, including lobbies, restrooms, hallways, and elevators
Respond to guest requests or complaints in a timely and professional manner
Report any maintenance problems to the appropriate department
Ensure the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms
Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines when handling chemicals and cleaning supplies
Assist with other housekeeping tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and lift up to 50 lbs
