Part of the Society of the Danube Swabians in Des Plaines, our weekend German language school has operated for over 60 years.

The school teaches both language and culture. Classes are provided for children preK-8th grade and adults.

The school is home to knowledgeable teachers with college degrees in German, many of which have studied or lived abroad in Germany or Austria, as well.

Classes are held on Saturdays from the end of September to May.

We are also looking for a grades 3-4 teacher.


Responsibilities:

• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials to meet the needs of all students.
• Instruct students in speaking, reading, writing, and comprehending spoken German.
• Evaluate student performance and progress in order to provide feedback and make appropriate recommendations.
• Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
• Develop positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Job Type:
Part-time


Pay:
$100.00 per week

Expected hours: 4.00 per week

• 4 hour shift
