Description
Purpose:
The Vice President of Operations will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee all operations activities for the KCI Springfield office, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of KCI.

Leads the Springfield office by supporting, implementing, and communicating the strategic direction of KCI, including that of preconstruction, estimating, and operations.
Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems.
Carries out the organization's goals and objectives.Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing and development are in line with the organization's business plan and vision.
Establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.Reviews and approves cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects.
Determines and manages the department's budget.
Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to executive leadership.
Maintains knowledge of emerging trends in operations management and the field of construction.
Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications\/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or related required
15 + years of industry related experience
General contracting and DOT experience preferred
Previous preconstruction work is a plus
Leadership and coaching experience required
Previous work with business development preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong leadership skills
Ability to prioritize
Extensive knowledge of industry best practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Physical Demands:
Work is normally performed in a typical office environment.
The employee may occasionally lift and\/or move up to 20 pounds.
Limited exposure to physical risk.
Noise level in the office environment is usually quiet.
While performing the duties of this role, employee will be required to sit, talk, and hear.
Employee is occasionally required stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop or kneel.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus.
