Position Summary
Delta Community Supports, Inc. is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Associate Director of Training to join our dynamic team.

The Associate Director will supervise training staff in PA and NJ, oversee recordkeeping of training documents and support the functions of training for all employees.

Provides training and coordination of mandatory requirements of employee competencies and certifications in accordance with state and company regulations.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Supervise Trainer II, Trainer I, and parttime trainers who provide regulatory and professional development training such as CPR, Safety Training, management skills, etc.
  • Monitor and execute tasks for all employees to meet licensing and other regulations.
  • Create and maintain training calendar and coordinate with department Subject Matter Experts to deliver specialized training as needed.
  • Schedule and coordinate all recurring training requirements to meet compliance standards.
  • In conjunction with other stakeholders, create and deliver training for New Employee Orientation, First Aid, CPR, and any other training required by Delta.
  • Ensure Med-Practicums are completed for new employee orientation and annual requirements.
  • Design and maintain a new employee orientation training manual to include relevant policies, procedures, systems, and communication protocol.
  • Design management training courses to develop leadership and communication skills.
  • Use professional writing skills when communicating and developing training materials.
  • Research best practices in the social services field to identify and/or develop training curriculum consistent with the company's core values and philosophy.
  • Administer online training through various online learning sites and tracks transcripts for reporting purposes.
  • Assist the department in assessing instructional effectiveness and determining the impact of training on employee skills.
  • Participate in departmental needs assessments to identify skills and/or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed.
  • Assist Director of QA and Training with development of training policies and procedures and new curriculum development.
  • Promote continuous quality improvement of training programs by updating course curriculum to meet required guidelines.
  • Administer evaluation for all training and solicit input from participants, in order to continually meet Delta guidelines.
  • Serve as Administrator of Relias to build department course programs, track training and provide reports as requested.
  • Cooperate with company and regulatory agency personnel during inspections or investigations.
  • Provide training to a variety of audiences in a variety of locations, from working oneonone with staff through a specific issue to facilitating a large seminar with a diverse audience.
  • Promote and demonstrate ethical and professional conduct at all times ensuring employees conduct themselves in a similar manner.
  • Participate in the hiring and training of new training staff member(s).
  • Remain competent on current regulatory training compliance through selfdirected professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development courses, and attending training and/or courses as directed.
  • Maximize the development of employees and effectively articulate the mission and values of Delta through positive and supportive communication.
  • Effectively communicate the company's vision, mission, core values and guiding support principles to support recipients, their families, employees, funding and accreditation agency personnel and the community.
  • Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree preferred
  • Driver's license valid in their state of residence
  • Five to ten years training experience in the Human Services field. Appropriate additional experience may be considered in lieu of the educational requirements and vice versa.
  • Three to five (35) years of supervisory experience
