Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement educational activities that are developmentally appropriate and foster learning and growth.

Monitor and report on the progress of children, ensuring developmental milestones are met.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and development.

Build strong relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication and feedback about their child's day and progress.

Attend staff meetings, training, and professional development sessions.

Manage classroom resources and materials.

Supervise children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.

Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a harmonious and effective team environment.


Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience working with toddlers in a structured environment.

Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred (not necessary).
Knowledge of early childhood education theories and practices.
Knowledge of DCFS guidelines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and engage in physical activities with children.

Passionate about working with children and contributing to their developmental success.
