The Warehouse Supervisor oversees all warehouse operations as a hands-on leader, serving and motivating warehouse employees, leading by example, and fostering a positive team-building atmosphere.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervision, training, and direct assistance of warehouse operations which include, but not limited to, loading/unloading, receiving, sorting, put away, picking, and inventory control.
Assigning workloads and daily tasks to Warehouse Associates
Leading by example to ensure that all procedures and best practices are consistently followed.
Drive an efficient and motivated workforce by providing effective coaching, feedback, and encouragement.
Maintain accurate inventory levels by leading regular physical counts with warehouse teams and reconcile discrepancies with the warehouse inventory system.
Ensure a culture of safety by enforcing safety standards and adhering to standard operational procedures.Measure and report KPIs and operational metrics to the Operations Manager on a weekly basis.
Qualifications & Skills:
Strong communication, interpersonal skill, leadership, and conflict resolution
Strong knowledge of modern warehousing practices and methods
Critical thinking ability and a proactive approach to problem solving
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and inventory management software
Forklift, Reach Truck & Pallet Jack experience required
Bilingual Spanish and English a plus, but not required
Education and/or Experience:
2+ years of management experience in Warehousing
Proven track record of managing at least 5 warehouse employees
Experience with inventory control, inventory reconciliation, and cycle counting
Bachelors or Associates degree in Warehouse Management, Logistics, Business or related field preferred, but not required.
